I've spent most of my career inside complex organizations — first at a Big 4 firm advising on HR M&A, then inside a Fortune 500 tech company managing the HR and operations side of large-scale change. In both places, the hardest part was never the technology. It was helping people understand what it meant for their work, building the capability to use it, and making sure the change actually stuck.
AI is the most significant shift in how knowledge work gets done in a generation. Most organizations know this and are doing very little about it — or doing a lot of things that don't add up to real capability. The gap isn't a tools problem. It's a strategy and adoption problem.

The Practice
HR and operations teams are in a particularly interesting position with AI.
